Handcrafted by master artisans in Japan, this smooth, light rubbing pad is made of bamboo bark. Used in Traditional Japanese woodcut printing or Ukiyo-e. The strong grain of its tough surface allows the artist to apply pressure firmly and efficiently to the paper. Great for burnishing fused papers, and for mono-printing.
